    Sorry, I could not locate the thread about address change. I am moving at the end of this month to a new address in a neighboring suburb. I have an approved I-140 and a pending I-485 with AP and EAD in hand.

    My wife has a pending I-140 and a pending I-485 with AP and EAD in hand.

    Is filling an online AR-11 sufficient? Does this update our I-485 and other pending/approved applications automatically. Please advise.

    You have some good pictures, but I agree you would more easily get responses here if you include pictures in your post. One critique I can give is you should watch the level of your horizons, it's a pet pieve of mine as some here know :), I'm sensitive to leaning pictures.

    Thanks for reply. I updated my profile. I just want to know there is going to be only 10 days gap between joining date of new employment and renewal of new EAD, will it create a problem.

    I think it depends under which past fee regime did you file then.......people who filed at that time under the old fee structure need to keep ponying up as far as I remember.
    Post it on the lawyer's forum side...you might get a more acuurate/updated answer otherwise I guess its 380 bucks now(the fee was again bumped up on nov 23).

    Hi guys.

    One of my favourite features in Flash is Trace Bitmap. I am currently trying to produce a print catalog and wanted to use this effect. I was wondering if there's any other programs that offer a similar feature, or otherwise what is the best way to trace a photo in flash and export it to another program.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Hi all,

    My current H1B I-797 will expire in Sep. 30th. My company is in process of filing a 3yr extension, but they are still in the 10-day job posting period, so the attorney will not probably file until mid-Sep. Hopefully with Premium processing it might get approved before the end of Sep.

    My question: My latest H1B visa stamp was issued for 1 year (county-limit), and expires on Oct-17. Due to admin processing, it took almost 5 months to renew it last time. If i have the approval 797, and go to renew my visa either at home consulate, or in Canada, what would happen? A. Would they renew the visa without doing any new sec. checks or admin processing? B. Would they cancel my current visa if they put my new one on admin processing? C. Else?

    The purpose is just to have a renewed H1B before my current one expires, if this will be any advantage.

    Please advice.

    This is the sort of news we should publicize.
    Here is a clear example of business leaders moving ahead of the politics of this issue. It will have an impact on any sensible person.
    It should get onto as many news wires as possible. Which sensible person can say that those 1000 high paying jobs going to Vancouver/Canada is in the interest of Seattle/USA. Imagine to spin off losses of this, to housing, to retail, to all sorts of areas of the economy where many Americans make their livelihoods.
    This is what people don't understand, push them too far and capitalists will weaken the US economy.

    Hello Freinds,

    I came to India on a vacation and went for a H1 stamping on 29th Dec at the Chennai consulate. I ended up getting the famous Pink 221G (Additional Admin Processing - AAP). I believe it is because of my muslim name (I am not a consultant or working for any consulting firm, full time employee with my comp's IT department, work for a reputed manufacturing company and done MS here in USA, been in USA for 9 years now, had previous F1, and H1 stampings).

    The VO asked very basic questions (who is the employer, what they do, where did you go to school, what majors) and didn't take any of my documents except the D156, D157 & Employee letter. She said my visa is approved, however I will have to go through AAP and will have to wait for 4 to 12 weeks.

    I am planning to wait till the end of January and if nothing moves ahead in my case, then go back to USA on Advance Parole (Based on the experience from other members who were stuck in 221G and who travelled back on AP), and come back to India once the 221G is cleared, and the consulate requests to send Passport.

    One of my personal concerns about this approach, does the consulate consider my visa applicaton abondoned if they find out that I have already entered US (using AP)? and will it have any issues in the future with my pending AOS?

    Has anyone gone through this similar situation (that they travelled on AP while H1 is in 221G status) and got successful stamping after the consulate has requested to send the Passport.

    Anyone please share your experience in the above situation........

    Also if am returning to USA on AP, do I have to show the I797, so the Immigration officer puts the expiration date on the I94 as the date on the I797

    Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    graduated with a MS in Computer science in may2007.
    i applied to another university and got my sevis transferred to do my MBA there.
    i have done 11 months 20 days of full time CPT at the previous university(where i did my MS).
    am i eligible for another full time CPT at my new university where i have started my MBA (from jan 21st 2008)?

    the international students service at my previous university is saying "i am eligible for 12months of full time CPT for every educational level, and i cannot get another 12 months if i do MBA because it is a masters degree too".
    please suggest.
