I am on my 9th year extension of my H1B. I have to leave to my home country at a short notice. I have H1B stamped on my passport. However it expires at the end of September. I may not be back until the first week of September.
I have already filed for my H1B extension and I am waiting for my Receipt notice.
Will there be any issue coming back into US when my visa stamped on my passport is valid for less than a month. I don't think my extension will be processed by then.
Anyone on this forum who has had similar experience in the past?

My birth was regiestered under totally different first name, also DOB is off by 9 days (10th June instead of 1st June). Since the birth is registered they are not issueing non-availability cert. . What to do?
I have both parents affidavits, school leaving cert, 10th class cert, PAN card showing date/place same as that in passport. Filing a civil case in India is the option but it could take more than a year. since my PD is Sep04, my 485 could be processed within months.
and post your question in the birth certificate thread that is already up and running. We have too many threads with the same information and just adds to the confusion.

Hello Guys,
Do any of you received finger prints notice who has E-Filed EAD renewal between June 25th - June 30th.
We filed on June 29th with Texas Service Center and it's been a month we are waiting for FP notice.

Hi,
My H1 was filed on the 1st week of April and I have not yet recieved the reciept number of the same. I am still waiting. When I ask my employer he says even he is waiting for the same. Can someone please let me know what I should do now? Some contact number at VSC will be very useful..

Hello sdouglas,
That is a problem with Swift and not with your PC configuration. I'm not sure why it would freeze or lockup when importing files. My best advice would be for you to uninstall Swift 3D and re-install it again. The problem should usually be solved. If the problem appears, it could be an error external to that of Swift.
Try re-installing your graphics card drivers if re-installing Swift does not solve the problem. If all else fails, try asking Electric Rain for help. It could be a bug =)

I looked at the list of civil surgeons that approved by USCIS. I called some of them and everyone told me differently in pricing. The basic I693 test would cost around $$220, and if i need vaccines, It would be an addition cost. Like some said the MMR vaccine would cost $120, the other said $50
Lot of them said the cost for chicken pox vaccins is around $120 ( I dont have insurance). My parent is not really sure if I ever have chicken pox or not so incase I need one, DO you know where to get those shots cheaper? Thank you for your time!

True, i did not use EAD but i went to India and came back using Advance Parole. My Lawyer says i need to switch back to H1 by filing the change of status again(fee $1300).

My wife is on H4 and she is studying Masters and we already have EAD. She would like to do Internship and she still has 6 months to graduation and my question is
1) Is there any time restrictions for people to do internship (with GC based EAD)
2) After graduation, can she still continue with her internship (using EAD ofcourse) ?
3) If Yes for question 2, then for how long after graduation she can be an intern
Apreciate if someone can give feedback on this.

I think you should apply for H1 extensions about 6 months in advance even if u have applied for AOS. Your driver license might also expire with your H1-b and to renew your license you will need approved H1-Extension. Also just in case something goes wrong with your AOS application and it gets denied, you might be out of status.
I would strongly suggest that you apply for H1-Extension well in advance just to be on safe side.

I recently got my I140 approved and I am waiting to file my I485 as my priority date(Oct 2007) is still not current(EB2 category, India).Not sure how long it is going to take as the current backlog is July 2000 for India and China.
My brother is a citizen of the US and I need to clarify if my brother can apply for a family-based green card for me and how long does it take to get the EAD when applied through this process as compared to filing through the employer when I reach my priority date.
Also need to clarify if this process is sooner or still the same as applying through the employer.

Oi! That IS the colour version! :D It might be a tad underexposed I guess, but any more and I would've ended up with bright white water. I could go back at a different time of day when the sun is at a more opportune spot though. I'm just not sure if it's worth it. (I guess one way of finding out is to actually go down there when the sun pops out :))
I think I'm better off hunting for more traditional landscapes (and eventually some animals -- I hope to catch some musk oxen in July, dunno what I'll do before that). :)
