So how does one surrender a Green Card abroad - do they have to go to a US Consular Office/Embassy?
Yes, my dad took his expired GC to the Chennai Consulate when he went for his visitor's visa stamping and let the first level screening officer know that he has this document - she then made a note of it (I think) and asked my dad to hand it over the VO during the interview. When my dad handed it to the VO - he was looking and gazing at it for a while and then took it inside and had a small discussion with a couple of people and then filled out a form and had a notary notorize it and asked my dad to fill out the form and gave my dad a copy and then put it in an envelope and attached this to my dad's visitor's visa file.

Another question is when using AC-21 to change jobs via H1b transfer, (or even EAD for that matter)
how does one bring up the topic of AC-21 to the employer?
Is is as simple a putting a condition to them saying hey "I will need an employment verification letter from you to ensure that my 485 process started with my previous employer will not be hindered."
(I am not talking desi consulting coy...but other companies where the HR person might not have a clue of what AC21 is!)

sidd_k2002, Just move forward and sent the necessary sponsorship letter so that they can go ahead and get the visitors visa. Do you have any brothers and sisters living in India that are still with your parents? If so, they can show that as a reason why they would not like to stay back in US.
Stop worrying and think positive. Since Graduation is a BIG event and its once in a life-time event, the presence of parents at the honoring ceremony is the dream for every child. Your parents should convey this point to the VO.

Not a bad idea, we can request for increase in the availability of green card numbers, as their are a lot of immigrants who are waiting to be potential home buyers, only obstacle in their path is a lack of green card.
Well we can come with a list of some senators we can call, and send numerous fax letters to Pelosi's office. How about we call and send a fax our degree copy and our letter.
Guys this is our golden chance, I request you all to please treat this matter with assertiveness.

It says India took a total of 41254 visas, but if you total the columns including family pref it comes to 32030. What am I missing?? Anyway how does it matter...

You are on EAD. When you fill your I-9 form with the EAD info. your on EAD...but USCIS doesnt know about this...its up to the Employer to inform the USCIS but usually (or generally) the employer don't inform the USCIS,however I don't think its mandatory to inform USCIS. In any case its not on your shoulder to inform the USCIS.
So, what I would do, is save the I-9 form (it must have the date when you signed) and pay-stubs...just to show that you have been on EAD, should you get any RFE regarding the status.

fortunately I haven't used EAD. In fact neither my spouse has. But we were about to use spouse EAD when we sniffed this possibilty. This is the reason I am asking if any one has any insight to share. Title of the thread is little misleading but unble to change it now. this is a IF THEN condition as if now. aplogise for the same. However I am sure so many families getting EAD, so many ppl will be concerned about this. This might be real for some one of us.

When they say "Continued Heavy Demand", what does it mean? Howcome there can be demand with Older Priority Dates? Labor Substitution is no longer possible so there can't be new demand with Older PD. So howcome PD goes back? Does anybody have insight into that?

These applications are probably trickling in during the course of the year, and may have seen a huge rush when they announced that they are going to make EB3 unavailable. Therefore, their earlier assumption that they can move forward was wrong. On the other hand, they probably totally messed up in counting the number of cases they already had on hand.

I have registered an LLC on wife's EAD. She is the sole owner of the company and working as a contractor for another company and getting salary on her company's name. Before she registered this company she never used her EAD. She is/was on H4 visa.
What needs to be done to make sure she in on her EAD now and not on H4 anymore?

I like. The varying tones are very interesting. I'm sure the black and white version looks better than the color.
The color version is very dull, so I tried desaturating and bumping the contrast quite a bit. I haven't done much B&W so it's a bit of trial and error but I think B&W might suit this type of graphic picture.

Doctor's filled out a new form (latest version) with all the information from the old form.No test were done again.But they signed the new form with OLD date.
Did your doctor sign the form with new date?
Also,are you including the old original form that you received in sealed envelope with RFE?I am include the ONLY the new sealed envelope that has latest form as the doctor discarded the old form.

I can understand CIR is held up/hostage etc, but once CIR is abandoned, and piecemeal
strategy comes, IV does need greater visibility against competing lobbies like foreign nurse, etc.

I think it matters and you probably might get an RFE if you dont provide evidence that you are qualified for the advertised job.
You can try to get an affidavit from some of your older colleagues.
It is EB3 (PD 2001) and Lc did say that 3 years of experience and my first job almost have 2 years 8-9 months of experience. So I was thinking that USISC should not mind for letter of eperience for 3 remaining months..Current job ..I have been working now for 6.5 years....
Does it matter..Do you think it really matters..
