IV Members,
At some point of time you must have posed a question or had some issue that was pegging you. You tried to get answers from members and resolve issues. Time must have passed and you had an outcome for the issue you were worried/working. It would be nice if you post the experience what happened to the issue you were worried over the period of time. How it has been resolved or what is logical end.
For ex:
I posted a question about my worry about travel to india with out the reciept notice and finally it ended up recieving the notice 3 days before my travel. I have gone through different tensions in the process. IV forums helped me understand where I stood what actions I needed to take. I took those actions, and it resulted in a favourable outcome at the end.
This happened just because some one has posted their experience.
So it is just not posing the questions on the forums but as the time passes do update what happened to your question.
This helps many other IV members who may come across same situations. Some of the IV members do this but few others they just forgot to return back and update the members what happened to their situations later. Do care to let people who answered you know what was the result.

Today, I received an email from USCIS that my EAD application got approved. My receipt date is on the 3rd week of May of 2007. What I don't understand is that the current processing time at NSC for I-765(EAD) for pending I-485 is March 26th, 2007.....
They are not always up to date on their processing times.

My wife is currently in the US on H4 Status and she is taking classes at a local university on a part time basis.
We are planning to go for our visa revalidation next month.
How should i answer DS 156 Question #33.Do you intend to study in the US? for my wife?
I think i should answer yes since she will continue taking classes after we come back to the US. Will this be an issue since she is on H4?

I went to graduate school in the US, (majored in Architecture) and was on an F1 visa from the period 2006-2009.I graduated in Aug 2008 and applied for an H1 through a consultancy firm.The petition for an H1 visa was approved, but I decided to return back home anyway and came home in 2009.
2 weeks ago, I visited the States for a week for a conference on a B1/B2 visa. I eventually want to return to the States and work there and therefore, need advice in this regard...
Given that my petition for an H1 has been approved, will the company that offers me employment have to reapply for an H1 for me?Or can the H1 be transferred from the Consultant company(that got me the H1), to the new company easily?!
Any help in this matter will be highly appreciated!

have u seen the legal immigration/ foriegn workers issue address by Bush today. althou he spoke just 1-2 sentences. stating that ' legal immigration system needs to be fixed, so that foriegn workers are in no harm

Remember to point it out at FP, and they will also ask you to phone USCIS and correct it. You could phone USCIS first, and then you might find that FP has it already corrected in the computer.
Once USCIS update it they will send you a letter to say that they made a change to the file, this is just FYI.
My wife's DoB had a typo. It was spotted at FP office.
Of course I am assuming some obvious typo, not a FP notice for Jim Smith and your name is Ramkrishnan Singh. :-)
or Ramakrishnan Bhatti. LOL.. that example was hilarious. (reddy, murthy, prasad) would have been closer.

This is key. We've been hearing that the White House was still up in the air between the energy bill and immigration and that one of the two would likely be pushed back until after the election. Now it looks like the White House thinks it can walk and chew gum (presumably after the President's approval ratings are slipping as people sense the White House is not actually keeping any of its promises).

On 28 November 2008, "the United States" as defined for purposes of the Immigration & Nationality Act (INA) just got bigger, with the addition of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Although there are probably wrinkles I have not yet read in the treaty, this essentially puts the CNMI on the same footing as Puerto Rico. Here's the cute part:
Because the CNMI will become part of the "United States" as defined by �101(a)(38) of the INA, "residence or presence in the CNMI before 28 November 2009 shall NOT be considered residence or physical presence within the USA for INA purposes. Thus, on 29 November 2009, all persons physically present in the CNMI are considered "to be present in the United States without inspection, by operation of law."
Will these PWIs (present without inspection) be eligible to adjust status? Unclear? Are they working "abroad" for purposes of L visas? Yes, as it turns out. One thing is clear: Legal Permanent Residents (so-called "green" card holders) who wish to base a naturalization application based on physical presence in the CNMI will NOT be able to do so for pre-29 November 2009 periods of time. If she is out of the USA, what you could do is file a 'follow to join' petition with the US consulate in your country when your PD is current. You could file this if the marriage occurs before your GC is approved.
